What this job is about
The Area Manager (AM) is responsible for the overall management of the Area Operations. The AM focuses on generating revenue by achieving sales targets, scaling operations in the Area and guaranteeing high quality; optimal cost Area operations, which are in line with the national strategy.
Your tasks
  • Developing and implementing the sales operational strategy for the Area, as well as alignment with the national sales targets and strategy
  • Developing Area Sales and Marketing campaigns in liaison with the marketing team as well as adopting those initiated by other Areas
  • Organizing sales activities and functions in the field to achieve targets, revenues and desired quality of sales
  • Taking actions to correct sales target and operational shortfalls
  • Overseeing sales-supporting operations to achieve high efficiency at optimized cost in coordination with respective Heads of department (HoD)
  • Implementation of operational management strategy, including educating Team Leaders in applicable policies, guidelines, processes and procedure so that it can be reciprocated downwards
  • Team Management including quarterly appraisals, identifying training gaps, planning employee training and development in liaison with Head of HR.
  • Together with respective HoD and HR, staff planning and recruiting, with special focus on recruitment and retention of Sales Agents
  • Adapting Companywide policies to Area realities and ensuring smooth information flow
  • Regular monitoring and performance evaluation of the Area team
  • Providing mentorship, leadership, management and vision to the Area Team
  • Reporting the progress of Area related activities to the Regional Manager
  • Preparation, follow-up and review of financial budgets for the Area
  • Representing Mobisol within the Area and to third parties
  • Analyzing business reports and identifying opportunities to maximize growth and expand the business through performance improvement, partnerships, mergers, new markets. Develop accurate and consistent bids with other internal stakeholders
  • Assess risks involved with new initiatives, ensuring deadline compliance and readiness to handle unexpected situations
  • Ensuring qualitative and on time installations and maintenance cases
  • Providing maintenance forecast to Service Network Manager
  • Ensuring that the IT/MTs are trained, coached and the quality of their work monitored.
  • Developing and implementing  strategies for service expansion and service quality in the area
  • Maintaining inventory of Maintenance Technicians’ spare part stock
  • Carrying out customer workout: Call to client clarifying contractual liabilities; clarify repossession options. Field visit, adjusted analysis, last ultimatum

  • Supporting the process of assessing applicants by gathering benchmark data
    Supporting the analysis of causes for portfolio deteriorations
    Providing regular portfolio, compliance and routing

Your Qualifications
  • University degree (Business Administration, Strategic Management, Finance Management or similar)
  • 5+ years of relevant sales and operational management experience in a medium sized company
  • Proven ability to inspire and lead a large team, coach and develop individuals
  • Strong business acumen: ability to set direction, to develop and implement adequate operational and managerial processes from scratch and sustainable business operations
  • Ability to communicate clearly through formal reports, presentations, memoranda and email
  • Proven record of leadership, budget management, collaboration and engaging at senior level
  • Must be self-motivated, with an ability to balance multiple projects while working under tight deadlines with close attention to detail, accuracy and quality at all times
  • Fluent in CO language and English
