What this job is about
Monitoring BTL marketing activities in the field  x
Your tasks
  1. Developing processes, policies, manuals, guidelines, standards, and materials for all new and existing below-the-line (BTL) marketing activities 
  2. Advising Head of Marketing on marketing-related KPIs to set for sales team
  3. Supporting Regional/Hub teams with below-the-line marketing (e.g. training, merchandising materials, etc.) 
  4. Regular field visits for 360° feedback with field teams 
  5. Develop, Align and Implement Below-The-Line (BTL) national marketing plan and programs, including;
    - Activations (e.g. Market presentation, door-to -door, roadshows, etc.)
    - Promotions (e.g. Christmas, Easter, Eid, back-to-school, etc.)
    - Stakeholders programs; (e.g. Brand
     - Ambassadors, Opinion leaders, CrC, etc.)
  6. Ensure synergies in marketing plans and programs in collaborating with the Brand
     Activation Lead (for Above-the-Line activities).
  7. Develop Regional marketing plans with HOS and RSMs in line with approved Sales & Marketing business objectives, ensuring they are brand building. Review implementation of these plans.
  8. Develop new activations and means to engage potential customers in-line with brand building objectives
    Integrating customer experience perspective  and insights from current customer base, collaborating with customer experience team, MobiLab, and Data Analyst
     Prototyping the new below-the-line marketing activities
  9. Continuous improvement of existing below-the-line marketing activities
  10. Evaluate effectiveness of implemented activities and report to Head of Marketing   ->
  11. Prepare, order, manage and distribute annual, quarterly and monthly marketing merchandising materials requirements and in collaboration with sales and procurement functions (e.g. leaflets, posters, t-shirts, banners, etc.)    
  12. Track Marketing Spend of approved BTL plans and programs

Your Qualifications
  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field is preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen and at least 3 years-experience in marketing with proven record of success
  • Knowledge of below-the-line marketing strategies
  •  Experience developing and conducting customer engaging programs in the field working with and through sales team in Kenya/East Africa
  • Proven ability to manage project teams
