What this job is about
The Technical Operations Department aims to serve Mobisol customers with the best technical products.The Repair Technician is responsible for the timely repairing of the electrical components of the SolarHome Systems (SHS) and its appliances.
Your tasks
  • Align and improve workshop activities and facilities. Follow and adhere to departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output
  • Repair all Printed Circuit Boards (PCB’s) and appliances according to Mobisol’s repairs procedures and guidelines
  • Clean and test all repaired PCBs and appliances
  • Categorize and properly document all there paired items and ensure data accuracy(Physical and Database)
  • Issue a 1-month inventory (cycle count) status of tools and spare parts (electronic components) to Repair Supervisor
  • Achieving targeted weekly, monthly and quarterly repairs requirements in terms of assembling new systems and refurbished items
  • Take care of repossessed and returned PCBs and appliances (Stock of needs revision must not pile up)
  • Manage and monitor the performance of the testing tools (Testjigs, Testers, Soldering stations, Calibrators and Multimeters)
Your Qualifications
  • University degree or Diploma in Renewables, Electronics or Electrical Engineering or similar fields§ 
  • ≥1 year of working experience in Technical roles related to Mobisol Repairs Operations (Solar technology, battery technology, circuitry, circuit schematics, test equipment, solar panels)
  • Hands-on experience in accurate soldering is necessary
  • Experience with operational improvement techniques (Kaizen and 5S, 6 Sigma, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience in programming (Arduino) boards is plus
  • Very good organizational and interpersonal skills and team player
  • Self-starter with a passion for Mobisol´s vision to plug in the world
  • Fluency in the CO language; fluency in English is a plus
