What this job is about
As Chief Sales Officer, you will be part of the senior management team and drive the establishment of a suitable und successful sales strategy for our Kenyan country office. You will also plan and manage day-to-day operations of our established business and build up, coach and mentor our strong sales and service team to deliver results in line with Mobisol’s company objectives.
Your tasks
  • Business Strategy: own the development of an innovative sales strategy to cement Mobisol as the leading player in the off grid energy market
  • Business Growth: maximize sales through existing and new channels via hands-on continuous improvement of our sales and service structure in the region
  • Team Building: build, mentor and review a strong sales team of around 45  colleagues who put the customer first
  • Business Development: analyze market trends and competitor landscape to ensure a successful sales setup
  • In addition, you will also be responsible for establishing a resilient cooperation with the marketing department and potential external partners in order to ensure a further healthy growth
Your Qualifications
This challenging position requires a business degree with focus on sales management as well as a proven track record of at least 15 years of professional B2C sales experience in a high-volume industry which is rapidly growing. You should possess sound knowledge and experience in sales reporting and forecasting, budgeting processes, business development and the execution of day-to-day sales performance. As an individual, you pursue a systematic, structured and reliable way of working. In addition to your affinity to sales management, you have a hands-on, action oriented approach as well as pronounced social competencies for teamwork and people management. You are target driven and dynamic, and you consider your role as an important contribution to the development of the entire enterprise.
