What this job is about
The Supply Chain function manages inventory,  coordinates and facilitates the movement of Mobisol’s products from the point of manufacture to the point of storage (warehousing), and distribution of Mobisol products between areas. The Head of Supply Chain develops a strategic direction and drives operations to enable a strong Logistics performance through clear structures & policies, efficient processes, and by continuously aligning with other Heads for supply chain stability
Your tasks
  • Driving development and implementation of the Logistics department’s purpose, principles and values in alignment with the company purpose, principles and values.
  • Developing the CO annual Logistics Strategy which contributes to the definition of the CO’s organizational and programmatic strategy in close cooperation with other Heads and MD
  • Developing and implementing structures to effectively and continuously manage risks for the Logistics department.
  • Aligning the implementation of the Logistics operational strategy in close cooperation with the Senior Leadership Team & MD
  • Representing Mobisol towards stakeholders and potential new business partners in the area of Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Logistics
  • Planning, approving and adhering to the Logistics department budget and resources requirements such as Logistics fleet, and operational equipment (warehousing, forklifts, safety gear)
  • Developing, aligning and implementing foundations for the smooth functioning of Logistics in the CO (roles, policies and process manuals, tools etc.), in line with the department’s operational strategy and in alignment with the Heads of affected CO departments.
  • Efficiently and continuously improving the Logistics department's operations, (including suggestions for new Database (DB) features, and ensuring newly released DB feature conform with Logistics requirements for usability).
  • Ensuring the skills and abilities of the department's staff members are fit to meet job requirements and departmental goals
  • Ensuring efficiency in inbound Supply Chain (SC) through regular and timely container destination planning, following up on payment processing, and liaison with clearing and forwarding agent for border clearing progress
  • Ensuring insurance claims are filed on time with 3rd party insurance provider, and regularly followed up on the status of pending claims
  • Ensuring efficiency of inbound SC through regular follow-up of airfreights, and packages coming in via external courier services below-the-line SC planning for outbound Logistics with zonal distribution teams to ensure efficient replenishment of items to all distribution points
  • Regular and/or ad-hoc long-term stock forecasting to ensure countrywide sales plans can be achieved without stock shortages.
  • Compilation and submission of unqualified stock reports to controlling and finance in the CO.
  • Ad-hoc preparation and management of shipment between COs
  • Close liaison with clearing and forwarding agent, customs and related parties to imports clearing process, to ensure correct taxing and exemption of Mobisol products. 
  • Develop departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output
  • Analyze Technical Operations data to ensure efficient operations (e.g. Revision Cases, Revision Requests, Categories, Item conditions and CO specific reports)
  • Achieving targeted weekly, monthly and quarterly distribution requirements in terms of assembled systems and appliances, and spare parts
  • Ensure repossessed systems and returned broken spare parts are tested and handled as dictated by Mobisol operational documents (to be refurbished, repaired or recycled)
Your Qualifications
  •  ≥10 years of professional experience in retail logistics or SCM. 
  • Bachelor degree in SCM, Logistics Management, Operations Management or a related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage. 
  • Working experience in managing teams of at least 5 employees. 
  • Knowledge of Logistics management tools such as DMS Logistics, databases etc.
  • Combining logistics expertise with commercial awareness and a strong vision for best practice in logistics. 
  • Outstanding analytical, planning and problem solving skills 
  • Team player with proven negotiation skills and a can-do attitude 
  • Strategic mindset 
  • Very good organizational and interpersonal skills 
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and database software
  • Previous work experience abroad or in an international company is a strong asset 
  • Passion for Mobisol´s vision to plug in the world 
  • Fluency in English, local language is a plus 
  • Willingness to travel domestically, and to other COs to support Logistics activities.
